Long description | Chemokines play a key role in inflammation. The CC chemokine eotaxin is a potent and specific eosinophil chemoattractant that is expressed by a variety of cell types in certain inflammatory conditions1,2. Some G-protein coupled chemokine receptors are also utilized as virus coreceptors for fusion and infection of cells. The eotaxin receptor CCR3 is required for HIV-1 entry into target cells such as microglia and eotaxin inhibits the infection of HIV-13,4. |
Antibody come from | Synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 83 to 97 of human eotaxin. |
Other description | Provided in phosphate buffered saline solution containing 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative. Antigen Immunoaffiinity Purification |
Clone | Polyclonal |
Antigen-antibody binding interaction | Rabbit anti Eotaxin (CT) (CCR3 ligand) Antibody |
Antibody is raised in | Rabbit |
Antibody's reacts with | Human |
Antibody's reacts with these species | This antibody doesn't cross react with other species |
Antibody's specificity | No Data Available |
Application | Western Blot |
Antibody's suited for | Detects eotaxin by Western blot at 0.5 to 1 µg/ml. Recombinant protein can be used as a positive control and antibody detects the monomer and dimer at approximately 9 and 18 kDa, respectively. Optimal concentration should be evaluated by serial dilutions. |

Description | This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.FAS ligand and other ligands are binding to the receptor for signaling pathways for example in apoptosis or JNK signaling. Receptor agonists are often tested for drug development. |
About | Rabbits are used for polyclonal antibody production by nordc. Rabbit antibodies are very stable and can be stored for several days at room temperature. nordc adds sodium azide and glycerol to enhance the stability of the rabbit polyclonal antibodies. Anti-human, anti mouse antibodies to highly immunogenic selected peptide sequences are" monoclonal like" since the epitope to which they are directed is less than 35 amino acids long. |
