GENTAUR's rat Eotaxin ELISA test is a ready to use ELISA kit. We use a monoclonal from mouse specific for Eotaxin was used as capure antibodies on the ELISA test plate. The internal standards (Expression system for standard: E.coli, Immunogen sequence: H24-P97) and your samples are measured with a biotin conjugated polyclonal from goat specific for Eotaxin will than be washed with PBS. The colour reaction with TMB on HRP will colour the well from blue to yellow with the stop solution. The more rat Eotaxin in your sample the higher the ELISA signal will be compared to this elisa's standard curve. |

| How the elisa works |
Sample the amount of 100ul/well of the standard solution at 1000 pg per ml, 500, 25, 125, 62.5, 31.25, 15.6 pg/ml rat Eotaxin standard solutions into the precoated 96-well plate. Add 0.1ml of the sample diluent buffers into the control well (Zero well). Add 0.1ml of each properly diluted sample of rat cell culture supernatants, serum or plasma(EDTA, citrate) to the ELISA plate. Keep in mind that each rat Eotaxin standard solution and each sample be measured in duplicate. |

Eotaxin, also known as CCL11, is a potent inducer of eosinophil chemotaxis and is considered as a selective ligand of the CC chemokine receptor 3 (CCR3), which is expressed on eosinophils, basophils, and Th2 lymphocytes. Eotaxin is assumed to be involved in eosinophilic inflammatory diseases such as atopic dermatitis, allergic rhinitis, asthma and parasitic infections. The gene maps to chromosome 17 and is expressed constitutively at high levels in small intestine and colon, and at lower levels in various other tissues. The deduced mature protein sequence is 66% identical to human monocyte chemoattractant protein-1, and 60% identical to guinea pig eotaxin. |
